Cult leader and mass murderer Charles Manson passed away the other day at the old age of 83 and, as is now customary in the perverse world of Twitter, people took the opportunity to mourn his death.
Twitter has a strange relationship with psychopaths, killers and general garbage humans, yet this time they played themselves. Instead of posting images of their true 'hero', many believed it was actually Maryiln Manson who passed.
Here are some of the responses from your bright friends at Twitter:
I have always loved him & still do! Marylin Manson is an icon! pic.twitter.com/pX9hAUQVdV

And it didn't take long for the 'adults' of Twitter to come to the rescue and set the record straight.
Numb Nuts, Charles Manson was the serial killer who died, and Marylin Manson was the musician who chanced music, delete your account please. https://t.co/HdhkszzLbC
